The Coral Center Zlarin celebrates its first anniversary! Early June packed with events, check out the program!

The Coral Center Zlarin celebrates its first anniversary on June 1st! On this occasion, a rich program has been organized at the end of May and the beginning of June, including lectures, workshops for children and adults, as well as expert guidance with free admission.
The celebration of the Coral Center’s birthday will begin on Friday, May 31st, with a Paint & Wine workshop led by Jasmina Granduč. Since the number of participants is limited, registration for the workshop is required at info@hckz.hr, with participation costing 15 euros per person.
On Saturday, June 1st, the program at the Coral Center starts at 11 a.m. with the children’s play “World of Magic Family Circus Show”. The play will take place at Gusterna, with free admission for all. Adults will also have the opportunity to paint at the Paint & Wine workshop at Gusterna at 5 p.m. The workshop costs 15 euros, and registration is mandatory for Saturday as well, at info@hckz.hr.
On Saturday, a cleaning action will also be organized on Zlarin, open to all, and details about the exact location and meeting point will be announced on the social media pages Facebook and Instagram of the Coral Center.
Admission to the Coral Center Zlarin on Saturday is free, and guided tours will be available at 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. No registration is required. That day, there will also be a membership drive for the Friends Club, offering 1+1 free membership all day.
On Sunday, June 2nd, the birthday celebration program starts with the children’s program “Kamishibai Storytelling” and art workshops organized by the Association of Visual Amateurs Tempera. The workshop is divided into two groups, one for preschoolers and the other for first and second graders. The number of participants is limited to 10 participants per workshop, so registration is required at info@hckz.hr. The start is at 10:30 a.m. at Gusterna. Admission to the Center is also free on Sunday, guided tours are also available at 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m., and the Friends Club membership drive is still valid.
Monday, June 3rd, is reserved for expert lectures. At 5 p.m. at the House of Colors, Dr. Bruna Petani, a lecturer at the University of Zadar, will hold an interesting lecture on “Climate Change and Marine Ecosystems: Impact on Coral Settlements in the Coraligen Community of the Adriatic Sea”. And how to connect everyday life, art, history, and bacteria into one movie, find out at 5:40 p.m. also at the House of Colors at the lecture “Bacterial Omnibus” by Professor Tomislav Ivanković from the Biology Department of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.
The diverse program will continue at the Coral Center in the following days. On Tuesday, June 4th, the Red Coral workshop for Zlarin schoolchildren will be held by the Argonauta Association, while the day after, on Wednesday, June 5th, Zlarin students will learn at the Tinker Labs workshop.
On Thursday, June 6th, the Coral Center Zlarin will host the International Conference “Community Regeneration: Applying the Impact Compass Model”, starting at 10 a.m. The conference is organized by the Europa Nostra Croatia Association, the Šibenik Fortress Cultural Institution, ICOM Croatia, and is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia.
