Zlarin Island
Zlarin will enchant you with its natural beauty and rich history. Due to its geographical position, it has always had a significant strategic role as the guardian of the entrance to the channel of St. Anthony and guardian of the city of Šibenik. This island, with an area of 8.19 square kilometres, will win you over as soon as you enter the port, which is naturally protected from the winds and attracts a large number of boaters.
Zlarin is the third largest and one of the six inhabited islands in the Šibenik archipelago. With 2,700 hours of sunshine per year, it is one of the sunniest islands in the Adriatic and the island with the longest island waterfront in the Adriatic with a length of 131 meters.
Zlarin is one of the few ‘pedestrian’ islands in the Adriatic. There is not a single car on the entire island, which is why the relaxed atmosphere and peace come to the fore, and the vast forest areas are interspersed with stone walls, pedestrian and bicycle paths.
